Print shines this Valentine’s Day

News Publishers’ Association, the industry body for New Zealand’s leading news publishers and advocates for championing the power of print advertising have been sharing the love lately! Visiting media agencies in Wellington and Auckland (Christchurch you’re next week!) with Mr Whippy, they’ve been celebrating the return to work this summer, offering a free ice cream break and a simple ‘cheat sheet’ showcasing the mastheads represented across Aotearoa, popular newspaper ad sizes and QR codes linking to all the latest newspaper info on their website. They really shared the love on Valentine’s Day in Auckland, visiting MBM, Dentsu, OMD and PHD.

The tangibility, creativity and effectiveness of print advertising can’t be beaten, as demonstrated by some of this year’s clever Valentine’s Day ads.

With more than 40 years of newspaper advertising experience between them, Viv Withell and Muirie Cook are the engine behind the NPA’s centralised national newspaper advertising booking service, effectively a one-stop shop to make newspaper advertising super simple for accredited media agencies.

“Their 15 minute ‘Print 101’ inductions for those new to media, or those needing a refresher, are short yet effective in keeping media agency teams up to date” said Brook Cameron, NPA’s General Manager. “Viv and Muirie’s experience, knowledge and focus on newspaper advertising offer the media agencies we work with dedicated print resource – in any way that the agency chooses to engage with us.  With more than 2 million New Zealanders reading our members’ newspapers every week, we make it easy to advertise in this quality, trusted, high attention media nationwide.”
