A further and final extension to the closing deadline of the 2023 Voyager Media Awards will be made due to the ongoing effects and disruption to communications in areas affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.
Entries will now close at 5pm on Wednesday 01 March.
Many of Aotearoa’s journalists have been working long hours in very challenging conditions to cover the effects of the cyclone – a catastrophic weather event which saw New Zealand declare a national state of emergency for only the third time in its history.

The list of finalists will be released in mid-April. The 2023 Voyager Media Awards will culminate with a celebration of winners at Cordis, Auckland on Saturday 27 May.
